Abstract The principle of charge transfer agents was investigated experimentally. There is a compensation effect between triethanolamine (TEA) and diphenyliodonium hexafluorophosphate (DPI) in the polymerization process of photopolymer. The experimental results illustrated that TEA has a stronger effect in the initial stage of exposure, and DPI has a stronger effect during the propagation stage of the polymerization process. We explain the main contributions of DPI in the superadditive photopolymer kinetics that results in an obvious increase of sensitivity.
