Chinese Physics Letters (CPL) is sponsored by Institute of Physics, CAS and the Chinese Physical Society (CPS), and hosted online by IOP Publishing. Launched in 1984 as the flagship journal of CPS, CPL has become one of the most prestigious periodicals published in China, and been among the first choices for Chinese physicists to disseminate their most important breakthroughs. Nowadays it is dedicated to build an internationally recognized platform for researchers to publish novel research works.
Journal scope
CPL provides rapid publication of short reports on important research in all fields of physics. The submitted manuscripts should be scientifically rigorous, report enough original results, make a substantive contribution in a specific research area, and generate broad interest to CPL’s readers.
Article types
Chinese Physics Letters welcomes submissions of the following article types:
⋅ Letters: reports of high-quality original research with conclusions representing a significant advance in the field.
⋅ Express Letters: express publication venue for breakthrough works.
⋅ Viewpoints: written by leading researchers in their fields, these articles present the background to and overview of a particular field, focusing on important articles recently published.
Express Letters
To publish and disseminate important high-quality articles as soon as possible, Chinese Physics Letters introduced a special EXPRESS LETTERS section in 2012. Over 100 articles have been published with an average submission-to-publication time of two weeks.
⋅ First-round peer review normally takes less than 7 days
⋅ A collection acknowledged as high quality and great
⋅ Research highlight by world's leading physics magazine and researchers
⋅ Far reaching multichannel promotion of the articles within this section
⋅ No page length limitation, No publication charge
Publication charge
Chinese Physics Letters is a funding member of PIIJ (Project for Enhancing International Impact of China STM Journals), and articles from countries outside China are free of publication charge.
