Localized Waves in Nonlinear Systems with Spatially Inhomogeneous Nonlinearity

Abstract A type of (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation with spatially inhomogeneous nonlinearity and an external potential is studied. It is found that special external potentials and spatially nonlinearities can support nonlinear localized waves.
