Abstract We investigate the lightly doped polycrystalline Sr1-xLaxRuO3 (x =0, 0.02, 0.08 and 0.10). With La doping, the ferromagnetism in the system has been suppressed. The transition temperature is Tc’ at which the long-range ferromagnetism establishes and the magnetization under 3T at 5K decreases with increasing x. In contrast to Sr1-xCaxRuO3, the samples remain with the PM-FM transition at 162K, which might be attributed to the valency change of Ru.
