Abstract The Brown-Rho conjecture about the effective mass of nucleon at finite-temperature and finite-density is checked from the quantum hadrodynamics (QHD)-II model. We find that under mean field approximation, the effective mass of nucleon given by QHD-II model has a best fit with Brown-Rho conjecture, but transition temperature is a function of density.
