Abstract A new method based on the third-order correlation function of coherent Raman scattering has been suggested for the picosecond laser pulses. It has been shown theoretically and experimentally that when coherent Stokes and antistokes Raman scattering are measured at the same time, the temporal characteristics of two different ps laser pulses can be obtained simultaneously.
