Abstract A large gap (up to 5.5 mm) between electrodes is acquired at Ar atmospheric pressure glow discharge (APGD) in radio frequency dielectric barrier discharge (RF-DBD). The characteristics of I–V in single barrier Ar RF–DBD mixed with different ratios of O2 (0–100%) is studied in detail.
