Abstract The temperature dependence of magnetization- and strain-induced magnetic anisotropy constants is reported in two nearly non-magnetostrictive CoFeSiB based metallic glasses. It is in accordance with the single-ion theory of uniaxial magnetic anisotropy. It seems that this theory can be regarded as a basis for discussing the nature of induced magnetic anisotropy in some metallic glasses.
