Abstract Multi-mode and chaotic oscillations have been observed in an acoustic hybrid system with single peak frequency response and time-delay. The envelope of the frequency spectrum, as constrained by the frequency response, is comb-shaped. The numerical calculations show approximate agreement with the experimental result.
