Emission of Phonons from a Rotating Sonic Black Hole

Abstract We investigate the Hawking radiation from a rotating acoustic black hole. The phonon emission is calculated by using two methods and the same results are obtained. The contribution of the time coordinate to the phonon radiation is also discussed, which cannot be ignored for the coordinate systems that are not well-behaved at the horizon.
