Effect of the Cylindrical Interface Properties on UltrasonicTransverse Wave Scattering
-
Abstract
A simplified model for ultrasonic transverse wave scattering in cylindrically layered composite with thin interface layers is developed. The ultrasonic transverse wave attenuation due to the scattering in a fiber reinforced composite is found to be greatly affected by the properties of the interface layers which are simulated as viscoelastic media.
