A Unified description of Atomic distortion in Strong Converging Laser Field

Abstract
We give a unified theoretical frame, which introduces the self-consistent theory and quantum defect theory into the area of atom-radiation interaction to describe the atomic distortion in strong converging laser field. It can be used to study the energy shift and wavefunction stretching of realistic multielectronic atom.
