Evolution of Field Entropy in the Formation of a Photon-Number State
-
Abstract
In the formation of a photon-number state in a micromaser, the evolution of field entropy versus the injected atom number is studied with and without the rotating-wave approximation, and the results in these two different cases are compared. An entropy-decreasing system and the quantum oscillation induced by virtual photons are discussed.
