Impurity-Induced Interchain Coupling in Pt (en)2 Pt (en)2X2 (ClO4)4
-
Abstract
The effect of impurity-induced interchain coupling on polaron in halogen-bridged mixed-valence platinum complaxes (HMPCs) Pt (en)2X2 (ClO4)4 are studied by means of the Takayama, Lin-liu and Maki continuum model. The Green's function is used to calculate the change of polaronic binding energy due to existing impurity. The results were supported by halogen doping experiment in HMPC’s.
