Identical Superdeformed Bands in ¹⁷¹Ta and ¹⁷³Re

The rotational band built on the i_13/2 proton 660,1/2 Nilsson state in ¹⁷³Re is proved to be identical to that in ¹⁷¹Ta. The close similarity of the two bands in ¹⁷¹Ta and ¹⁷³Re suggests that the ¹⁷³Re nucleus with the odd proton based on the i_13/2 660,1/2 Nilsson state may be triaxially superdeformed.
