EMC EFFECT AND THE NUCLEON SIZE I N THE NUCLEAR ENVIRONMENT

  • The effect of the change of the pion field in nuclei on the confinement radius of the nucleon is calculated. The nucleon size increase in a nucleus is about 3%. Combining with the change of the vacuum properties, the reasonable fit for EMC effect has been obtained.
