Electronic Structure of Molecular Rydberg States

Abstract
Comprehensive theoretical results of the molecular Rydberg structures with the total-electron numbers starting from 2 to 18 are reported. We attempt to elucidate: (1) systematic trends of the variation of the eigen quantum defects among those molecules, (2) characteristics of the molecular dynamics between
the excited electron and the corresponding molecular ions.
