Effects of Orientation on the Electron States of K3C60
-
Abstract
Effects of orientation on the electron states of K3C60 are studied by taking into account the interactions between the doped K ions and the C atoms. It is found that the density of states (DOS) curve in the disordered bidirectional structure (space group Fm 3m) is similar to that in the ordered unidirectional structure (space group Fm 3), accompanied by a slight reduction in the DOS at the Fermi level N(EF) due to a broadening of the DOS curve.
