Tadpole Diagrams and Relativistic Hartree Approximation

It is pointed out that the infinite series of the tadpole contribution to the baryon self-energy can be summed rigorously and expressed in a simple form. The latter provides a new way for the calculation and explains more clearly the relation between Walecka's mean field theory and the tadpole diagrams.
