A QUANTUM MECHANICAL DESCRIPTION FOR QUASI-LANDAU RESONANCES
-
Abstract
We succeed in solving quantum-mechanically the problem of a hydrogen atom in a strong magnetic field in the (r, ρ, Ф ) coordinate system in which the main part of the Hamiltonian can be solved by separation of variables. The theoretical energy spectrum agrees to a certain extent with the experimental one.
