Empirical Example of Nucleus with Transitional Dynamical Symmetry X(5)

By analysing the energy spectrum, E2 transition rates and branching ratios, it is shown explicitly that the nucleus ¹⁵⁰Nd provides an empirical example with X(5) symmetry at the critical point of the transition from U(5) to SU(3) symmetry.
