Theoretical Study of the Specific Heat of Helium II
-
Abstract
We present the calculation of the specific heat of helium II under pressure of 1 atm from very low temperature to approximately 1.8K (the transition temperature Tλ= 2.712 K). Experimentally, the specific heat jumps from a finite value to infinity at Tλ. We have been able to reproduce the specific heat theoretically up to 1.8K.
