A NEW ICOSAHEDRAL QUASICRYSTAL IN A DUPLEX STAINLESS STEEL
-
Abstract
A new icosahedral phase has been found in a duplex stainless steel, which is formed in the α-grains by precipitation in the process of conventional ageing at 500°C. The icosahedral grains are strongly oriented with the α-matrix grains.
