OBSERVATION OF CORRELATION BETWEEN ANGULAR DISTRIBUTION AND DOPPLER BROADENING OF POSITRON ANNIHILATION

Using a new technique we have observed the correlation between the angular distribution and Doppler broadening of the positron annihilation in silica aerogel and synthetic quartz crystal, for which the relative intensities of the central peaks of the angular correlation with fine selection of gamma ray energy are 1.7 and 1.4 times those without energy selection, respectively.
