HIGH-SENSITIVITY HOLOGRAPHIC STORAGE IN Ce-DOPED STRONTIUM-BARIUM NIOBATE AT 632.8nm

Abstract
We report the high-sensitivity holographic storage in Ce-doped SBN with a low power CW He-Ne laser. A maximum index change Δnmax = 1.07x10-4 a photorefractive sensitivity S=7.9 x10-4 cm2/J, and a maximum diffraction efficiency η=78% were obtained. The optical readout characteristics of holograms recorded by the sample were also studied.
