STRUCTURE AND MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF A18.8Fe3.7Ce1 ALLOY

Abstract
Paramagnetic, ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic properties are reported for as-quenched amorphous, annealed quasicrystal and crystal Al-Fe-Ce alloys. The first ferromagnetic quasicrystal was studied. Its Curie temperature is about 340K and μ(Fe)= 2.3μB.
