Gas Multiplication in the Proportional Region

A simplified model of gas multiplication in the proportional region is proposed. A linear relationship between In A and V is derived. The formulae relating the macroscopic parameters of proportional region with the microscopic parameters of gas multiplication are obtained. By analyzing the experimental data the values of these parameters under different conditions are determined.
