MOVING DEFECT WITH IRREVERSIBLE DEFORMATION ZONE AND CRITERION OF NONLINEAR DYNAMIC FRACTURE OF SOLIDS

Abstract
This letter reports a fully dynamic analysis of a moving defect with a plastic zone. The fields of stress and displacement of this defect are determined, so that the opening displacement at the tip of the defect is obtained. Based on it the author proposes a criterion of nonlinear dynamic fracture of solids.
