Large Anomalous Hall Conductivity in Quasi-One-Dimensional Geometrically Frustrated Metal Pr3MnBi5

  • We present the fabrication and experimental investigation of quasi-one-dimensional geometrically frustrated metal Pr3MnBi5 single crystals. Magnetic measurements show that the crystals exhibit two distinct ferromagnetic phase transitions at TC1 = 26 K and TC2 = 31 K, accompanied by metamagnetic transitions and strong magnetic anisotropy. Large unsaturated linear positive magnetoresistance can be observed at low temperatures for different crystal orientations. Additionally, we observed a large anomalous Hall conductivity reaching up to 911 Ω-1·cm-1 in Pr3MnBi5, with the anomalous Hall angle reaching up to 15% at TC1 = 26 K. These results provide valuable insights into magnetic properties and pave the way for further research into the anomalous Hall effect in geometrically low-dimensional frustrated metals.
