ON THE THEORY OF COEXISTENT PHASE IN ANTIFERROMAGNETIC KONDO LATTICE
HU Xiao-xin, LI Zheng-zhong
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1985, 2 (5): 193-196 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (42KB) ( 490 )
The ground state properties of the half-filled antiferromagnetic Kondo Lattice are discussed by using the static approximation of the functional integral method. Anti ferromagnetic phase and Kondo phase have been obtained in weak-coupling (J < 0.155) and strong-coupling (J > 0.345) regimes, respectively. A stable phase of coexistence of antiferromagnetism and Kondo effect exists in the intermediate-coupling regime (0.155 < J < 0.345) with Lower energy. The magnetic moments are reduced by Kondo effect in roexistent phase, as observed in experiments.

A THEORETICAL STUDY OF PRESSURE BEHAVIOURS OF N AND NNj TRAPS IN Gap
YANG Gui-lin
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1985, 2 (5): 197-200 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (58KB) ( 468 )
We find that the changes of curvatures of the conduction band minima have a crucial influence on the pressure behavious of N and NNj traps in Gap. The results calculated with a simple model representing such pressure variations of the conduction band show very good agreement with the experiments.
THE CHARACTERISTICS OF ABRUPT CHANGE ON ELASTIC CONSTANTS C33 of LiKSO4 CRYSTAL AT 60°C
WANG Ji-fang, ZHANG Dao-fan, WANG Ra-ju, ZHANG Liang-kun
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1985, 2 (5): 201-204 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (40KB) ( 515 )
Using the ultrasonic pulse echo overlap technique, we have measured the temperature dependence of the elastic constant C33 of LiKSO4 crystal. The abrupt change of C33 occurs at 60°C, and there is a large temperature hysteresis. On repeated experiments, this abrupt peak of C33 reduces successively. But after a certain time of "seasoning", it appears again.
THE CRYSTALLIZATION TEMPERATURE AND THE ACTIVATION ENERGY FOR CRYSTALLIZATION OF METGLASS ( F0.1Co0.55 Ni0.35 )78 Si8B14 UNDER HIGH PRESSURE
SHEN Zhong-yi, YIN Xiu-jin, ZHANG Yun, HONG Jing-xin, and HE Shou-an, CHU Shao-yan*
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1985, 2 (5): 205-208 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (51KB) ( 420 )
The pressure effects on crystallization temperature and activation energy of crystallization were measured up to 3GPa. A non-monotonic dependence between them was observed. The results are discussed by the consideration of pressure induced variations of nucleation and growth mechanisms.
ACOUSTIC LOCAL MODE AND TA BAND MODE VIBRATION FOR THE MIXED CRYSTALS Cd1-xMnxTe
SHEN Xue-chu (S .C. Shen), YE Hong-juan, KANG Li-xue, TAO Feng-xiang
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1985, 2 (5): 209-212 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (49KB) ( 519 )
We report here the acoustic local mode and TA band mode for the lattice vibration of the mixed crystals Cd1-xMnxTe as observed by very far infrared spectra. The occurence of the acoustic local mode and the weakly optical activity of TA mode induced by crystalline-mixing are discussed in light of the defect lattice dynamics.

U-SEQUENCE AND PERIOD-TRIPLING PHENOMENA IN A FORCED NONLINEAR CSCILLATOR
WU Shu-xian, PEI Liu-qing, GUO Fen
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1985, 2 (5): 213-216 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (48KB) ( 821 )
Experiments on a nonlinear oscillator reveal the same periodic structure as that in one-dimensional unimodal maps and a simple method is found to assign words from a symbolic dynamics of two letters to the periods observed in experiments. This paper gives plentiful patterns of U-sequence, including period-tripling patterns R*RL, RL*RL and RL2*RL. Spectral analysis gives a confirmation of the patterns.
THE POTENTIAL OF MASTER EQUATION WITH TWO-STEP PROCESSES
HU Gang
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1985, 2 (5): 217-220 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (35KB) ( 584 )
The potential of the one-dimension master equation with both the one-step and the two-step processes is obtained in the leading order of the system-size Ω.
CRYSTALLIZATION OF AMORPHOUS Ge IN Ge/Au BILAYER FILMS AND Ge-Au Alloy FILMS
ZHANG Ren-ji, CHU Sheng-lin, WU Zi-qin*
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1985, 2 (5): 221-224 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (0KB) ( 86 )
The crystallization temperature of amorphous Ge(a-Ge) in a-Ge/polycrystalline Au(p-Au) films is much lower than that in a-Ge/monocrystalline Au(m-Au) films. In order to explain this phenomenon it is suggested that the grain boundary triple points of p-Au films are the favourable nucleation positions. The favourable crystallization regions in a-Ge/p-Au films are related to the agglomeration of p-Au films. The crystallization temperature of Ge-Au alloy films is lower than that of a-Ge/p-Au films when Au content in alloy films is less than 35wt%, and is higher when Au content is more than 35wt%.
REPRESENTATION THEOREM OF HP FUNCTIONS AND THEIR APPLICATION TO ACOUSTICS
REN Shu-chu
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1985, 2 (5): 225-228 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (39KB) ( 423 )
The correct analytic continuation formulae of HP functions on the upper half-plane are given and used to extrapolate the transfer function of a spherical piezoelectric receiver. The results obtained by extrapolation are in good agreement with the theoretical ones.
LUMINESCENCE OF Er3+ ION IN NONCRYSTALLINE FLUORIDE
GAN Fu-xi, ZHENG Hai-xing
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1985, 2 (5): 229-230 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (34KB) ( 394 )
Some luminescence of Er3+ ions in the fluoride glasses are studied. One of the cross-relaxations of Er3+ ions is between and 2H11/2-4I9/2 and 4I15 /2 -4I13/2. The Er3+ - Er3+ ions interaction causing the cross-relaxation in the fluoride glasses is an electric dipole-dipole interaction.

EFFECT OF A COBALT COATING ON THE MORIN TRANSITION OF α-Fe2O3
LUO He-Lie, WANG Zhu-feng
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1985, 2 (5): 231-234 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (52KB) ( 482 )
The susceptibilities and the magnetic hysteresis loops of pure and Co Coated α-Fe2O3 have been measured. It is found that the Morin transition temperature of α-Fe2O3 is influenced and the coercivity is increased obviously by a Co coating. The results of neutron diffraction are in agreement with this observation.
