PHOTOACOUSTIC MEASUREMENT OF AMORPHOUS SEMICONDUCTOR SUPERLATTICE FILMS
FENG Xiaomei, LIU Xiangna, WANG Zhichao, QIU Shuye*
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1986, 3 (11): 481-484 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (46KB) ( 492 )
We present here the first measurement of photoacoustic spectra (PAS) of a-Si:H/a-SiNx:H multilayers. By converting the PAS signal to absorption coefficient, the blue shift and the broadening of Urbach edge are explained as the results of quantum size effect in superlattice structure.
ORIGIN OF THE EASY CONE OF R2Fe14B (R = Nd, Ho)
ZHAO Tiesong, JIN Hanmin, ZHU Cheng
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1986, 3 (11): 485-488 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (52KB) ( 549 )
The crystal field parameters B°2, B-22, B°4, and B44 are determined Empirically on the basis of one sublattice model. These parameters can account for the major magnetic anisotropy of all of R2Fe14B (R: rare-earth) including the easy cone of Nd2Fe14B and Ho2Fe14B at 4.2K.

SEARCH FOR HEAVY NEUTRINOS IN ELECTRON CAPTURE
TANG Xiaowei, LIU Nianqing
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1986, 3 (11): 489-492 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (40KB) ( 500 )
We present the result of an experimental search for a heavy neutrino admixture in the electron capture process. The 95% confidence level upper limits from 0.02 to 0.04 are set for the mixing strength of heavy neutrinos in the neutrino mass range of 30keV to 90keV.
NOTE ON THE AC HYSTERESIS EFFECT OF THE CHARGE DENSITY WAVE SYSTEM
YE Xiaoguang, WU Hangsheng
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1986, 3 (11): 493-496 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (43KB) ( 435 )
An analysis of the nonlinear ac dynamics of charge density wave condensate based on the Tua-Zawadowski model is presented. The obtained results are consistent with the Tessema-Ong experiments.
A NEW METHOD OF ISOTOPE SEPARATION BY MEANS OF LASER DEFLECTION OF AN ATOMIC BEAM
LIU Liang, WANG Yuzhu
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1986, 3 (11): 497-500 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (43KB) ( 535 )
The radiation pressure produced by two-laser fields on a two-level atom is obtained. These results show that the radiation pressure produced by two-laser fields with appropriate detunings with atom is much greater than that produced by a single-laser field. This great radiation pressure is possible to be applied to isotope separation by laser deflection of an atomic beam.
THE INVESTIGATION ON OPTOGALVANIC EFFECT IN THE CO2-N2 DISCHARGE
WANG Chaohua, YANG Ming jiang
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1986, 3 (11): 501-504 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (50KB) ( 551 )
The mechanism of optogalvanic effect (OGE) in CO2-N2 discharge was experimentally investigated. The results show that laser irradiation causes interchange, of energies between molecules CO2 and N2 in electronic excited states, and OGE is induced by step-ionization.

THE MOTION OF SINGLE KINK IN AN APPLIED FIELD
JIANG Shaozhou
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1986, 3 (11): 505-508 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (59KB) ( 487 )
A perturbed s-G equation has been solved by numerical experiment. The results indicate that during the resonant time the soliton has a very complicated intrinsic motion and a complexity of the entire motion, and the soliton also has a Newtonian acceleration under constant applied field.
A POSSIBLE MODEL FOR THE ANOMALOUS ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY IN THE PERIODIC DENSE KONDO SYSTEM
ZHAO Guanglin*, ZHANG Liyuan, CHEN Changfeng
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1986, 3 (11): 509-512 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (46KB) ( 432 )
A model Hamiltonian resulting from an extended Schrieffer-wolff transformation on the Anderson lattice Hamiltonian with f-electron hopping has been used to calculate the anomalous temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity in the Kondo lattice compounds (e.g., CeAl3 and CeCu6). The Green's functions for the conduction electron have been calculated by the equation of motion approach. The numerical calculated results of the electrical resistivity of CeCu6 is consistent with the experimental data.
STUDY ON THE HIGH RESOLUTION POLARIZATION SPECTROSCOPY OF SODIUM D1 LINE
FU Jishi, HU Yuanhui
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1986, 3 (11): 513-516 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (52KB) ( 477 )
The polarization spectroscopy of Na D1 line with linearly polarized pumping light is studied theoretically using velocity-selective optical pumping model. The experimental results are in good agreement with the theoretical analysis.
THE STOCHASTIC DECAY OF FIRE BALLS AND THE HYPOTHESIS OF LIMITING FRAGMENTATION
WU Yuanfang, LIU Liansou
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1986, 3 (11): 517-520 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (48KB) ( 501 )
The “scaling in fragmentation region” given by UA5 Collaboration in pp Collider (SPS) experiments is investigated. It is pointed out that these phenomena support the hypothesis of limiting fragmentation. The calculated results using the stochastically decaying fire ball model fit the experimental data remarkable.

TRANSITION WAVELENGTHS FROM ( 2p2p )3P STATES TO ( ls2p )3 P STATES FOR HELIUM ISOELECTRONIC SEQUENCE UP TO Z = 10
WU Lijing
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1986, 3 (11): 521-523 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (38KB) ( 510 )
The wavelenghts have been calculated for the ( 2p2p )3 P-( 1s2p )3P transition for helium-like ions ranging from z = 2 to 10. The energy values of both( 2p2p )3P and ( 1s2p )3P statas include relativistic correction and mass-polarisation. Radiative corrections are added to the energy values of the ( 1s2p )3P. Our results agree with experiments.

THE CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN A MODE AND AN ORDER OF INTERFERENCE IN THE ANGULAR SPECTRUM
GAO Tianfu
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1986, 3 (11): 524-526 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (35KB) ( 487 )
The interference order structure in the angular spectrum is demonstrated for the sea acoustical waveguide. The one-to-one correspondence between the modes and the orders of interference is proved.

Abstract   PDF(pc) (23KB) ( 339 )
