Abstract The current of molecular motor model disturbed by random potentials, which involve the dichotomous and Ornstein-Uhlenbeck potential, is studied by using a finite-space correlation function. It is found that: (i) The amplitude and the correlation length of random potentials play opposing roles in the transport of the molecular motors model. (ii) a random potential with small amplitude and large correlation length is very useful in the molecular motor system.
