Abstract [ZnO(0.5 nm)/Co(0.6 nm)]60 multilayers were fabricated by magnetron sputtering. The magnetic, transport and optical properties were studied. The ferromagnetic state at low temperature was demonstrated. Most of the grains in the samples will be unblocked when temperature is below 50 K. The measured magneto-resistance at 4.8 K is higher than 30%. This value is larger than any other reported data. The transport mechanism may come down to a combination of tunneling conduction with the second-order hopping. Some small peaks on transmittance curves were found, the matter is still open.
