Abstract Charge-density waves (CDWs) on a cleaved surface of 2H-NbSa2 have been observed at 4.3 K with a home-built low temperature scanning tunneling microscope(STM). The STM images revealed well-resolved atomic modulation, CDW modulation, and combined periodic lattice distortion resulting from the CDW.
