Abstract Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) measurement of CsNiCl3 compound has been performed at 192 GHz in the temperature range from 300 to 5K, along the axes of main g tensor. The energy levels and the g-factors are calculated. The linear thermal expansion coefficient ( 2.77x10-5 K-1 ) for the Ni2+-CI- bond distance is studied by combining EPR and optical absorption spectra with changing temperature.
