摘要By directly diagonalizing the Hamiltonian of the ladder model of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) molecules, the density of states is obtained. It is found that DNA behaves as a conductor when the interchain hopping is smaller than twice the intrachain one, otherwise, DNA behaves as a semiconductor.
Abstract:By directly diagonalizing the Hamiltonian of the ladder model of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) molecules, the density of states is obtained.
