Abstract ： Considering the space charge effect on gas multiplication a semi- empirical formula of the gas gain in limited proportional region is proposed. Two parameters of gas multiplication, the, threshold of limited proportional region Vs and the coefficient of space charge suppression B, are introduced. Analyzed the experimental data the values of these parameters under different experimental conditions are obtained.
