Abstract： By means of the Bloch equations coupled with Maxwell equations, we treated the propagation effect of coherent optical pulses in dissipative two-level system. In such system we observed the special transient coherent phenomena which include the stair-like decrease of pulse area and periodic spatial oscillation of the ionized particles.
