Abstract: The possibility to search for the isoscalar 1-+ exotic state through the J/ψ decay process J/ψ → ω + X,X → V+V at upgraded BEPC (Beijing Electron-Positron Collider)/BES (Beijing Spectrameter) is discussed for two cases: single state and multi-state coupling in terms of the generalized moment analysis method. The results show that this possibility exists only for the case of single state case.
