Abstract : We first proved that the modified potential of atomic hydrogen in the converging laser field of circular polarization is an exact uniform field in the range of r ≤ R0 (∝ I1/2 ω-2 ), but Coulomb potential in the range of r > R0 . Then the energy levels shallow and split, the wavefunction undergoes distortion.
