Abstract: The strong x-ray line emission of n=4→n=3 and n=5→n=3 transitions of Ni-like Au has been investigated under a coronal plasma condition. A complete set of atomic data, including energy level, transition probability and collision strength, has been obtained to simulate the emission spectra. Under a typical coronal equilibrium (electron temperature of 2500eV and density of 1.0×1015), the predicted strongest line is due to the transition of (3d3/2-14f5/2)1 → (3d10)0. Extensive studies show that the relative intensity is insensitive to temperature and density over a wide plasma condition.
