Abstract: We study the effect of laser pulse shape on plasmas wake field driven by an intense laser beam. It is found that the modified asymmetric laser pulse shape with sharpen rising front and broaden falling back, due to some nonlinear interactions of an intense laser pulse with plasmas, can significantly enhance the magnitude of the wake field.
(Nonlinear phenomena: waves, wave propagation, and other interactions (including parametric effects, mode coupling, ponderomotive effects, etc.))
