Abstract: The damage patterns created by the interactions of intense pulsed electron beams with polymeric targets reveals the processes of plasma channel formation and deposition of the beam energy and charge. There is a close structural similarity of the damage pat tern with the dielectric breakdown which naturally leads to fractal structure with an exponent D≈1.7.
