Abstract: The gain-noise model of a single-mode laser driven by correlated additive and multiplicative white noises is investigated theoretically. The analytical expressions of the time-dependent moments and correlation function of the laser intensity are derived by means of linear approximation method. Some novel phenomena are found. In certain cases, instead of monotonic evolution, the evolution curves of the intensity correlation function versus time exhibit the negative minimum value, whereas a peak for the evolution of the normalized variance of the laser intensity with time emerges.
