Abstract A thin target of 197Au is bombarded with 29MeV protons from the cyclotron at Department of Nuclear Research Centre for Agriculture and Medicine. Correlated energies of fission-fragment pairs are measured with silicon surface-barrier detectors and their time of flights is made using a spectrometry pair. The fission cross section, fragment mass distribution, and total kinetic energy distribution of the fission fragments are measured in our
experiment. The results are also compared with the previous works and good agreements are found.
