State Transitions of Black Hole Accretion Flows

Abstract We show that the thermal instability-triggered transition from the state of Shakura-Sunyaev disc to the state of advection-dominated accretion flow is possible for black hole accretion flows composed of two-temperature plasma with bremsstrahlung and synchrotron radiation and Comptonization.
