A Scheme for Preparing Schrödinger Cat States with Controllable Manners

Abstract A scheme to generate superpositions of coherent states with variable amplitudes, phases and weighting factors is proposed. It provides experimental possibility for preparing an arbitrary Schrödinger cat state.
