Dielectronic Recombination for the Self-Consistent-Field Average Ions

Abstract A self-consistent-field theoretical method has been developed to treat the dielectronic recombination (DR) of average ions with electrons. Based on the method, the rate coefficients for DR into a special state can be evaluated. As an example, the results for iron have been presented at a defined electron population.
