Abstract The rapidity distribution of multiparticle production at the ISR and SppS collider energies are studied, and the data reveal a new empirical scaling behaviour in rapidity distributions in terms of the reduced variable. Some relevant problems on the inclusive distribution of multiparticle productions are discussed.
