Abstract Crystal defects, such as grain boundary, dislocation, stacking disorder, phase boundary and surface of granule were examined by high resolution electron microscope (HREM) in superconducting T12Ba2Ca2Cu3Ox. Some possible effects of the defects on the sample's properties viz., Jc and Tc are discussed.
